Year 11 Autumn Revision for Mocks
Revising in Year 11
Whilst we’re doing controlled assessment we will not be setting homework about South Africa, other than a few bits of research. Obviously during your controlled assessment writing time, we’re not allowed to let you work on South Africa outside of the controlled conditions of the classroom. During those weeks, we’ll be following a revision programme online, with videos and work set using this website.
Revising in Year 10
The spring mocks seem like a long way away, but they’ll soon catch up with you! This site will help you get off to a great start with your revision.
Using these pages
On the pages listed on the menu under this page, you’ll find the different topics you’ll be studying. You should spend a week on each topic. Each page has at least one video, some notes, some activities and there’s always a test paper for you to do at the end. If you work through these pages then you’ll be well on the way to a great mark in your mocks. So far, the pages are:
Were the 1919 Peace Treaties Fair?
Why were there no major wars in the 1920s?
Why did the Second World War break out in 1939?
Was America a good place to live in the 1920s?
Still to come – make sure you check back often:
Why, and to what extent did the American economy boom in the 1920s?
What caused the Wall Street Crash?
Why Did FDR win the 1932 Presidential Election?
Was the New Deal a success?
Traps and techniques – common mistakes to avoid on Paper I
